Do you have a fancy SLR camera, but only use “The Green Box”? Do you find photography books, especially your manual, so confusing and boring? Do you learn best from hands-on instruction?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, this workshop is for you! It is a 3-hour class held at my home in Midlothian, Virginia, and it covers lighting, composition, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, action shots, storytelling, shooting in low light, manual exposure and so much more. It is designed for the beginner/hobbyist who wants to use her camera to it’s full potential to take better pictures.

Are you a new photographer starting a business? If so, I’d LOVE to help you! I have been photographing weddings and families for over 10 years, and my workshops and mentoring sessions are an opportunity to learn from my experiences. Maybe you need help with posing and lighting. Would you like some experience with weddings? Or, maybe it’s editing that you’re struggling with. Mentoring sessions can be customized to your needs. If this sounds like something you would benefit from, please contact me for more details and pricing. I’d love to chat!

If you are a new or aspiring wedding photographer, this workshop is for you! Taught by myself and the talented Sean DeWitt, over the course of two full days we will walk you through an entire wedding. It is our goal to share all of our techniques and unique, individual shooting styles as we progress from bridal preparation to the sparkler exit. We will offer a styled shoot with beautiful models and participation from some of Richmond’s best wedding vendors! You will leave with a solid understanding of how to effectively and professionally capture a wedding from start to finish, images for your portfolio and continuing education and networking with your peers through a private Facebook group.
